Rooster created JC strap, suitable for an OK and a Europe, made from 8mm Shock Cord, a nice light ball bearing block and two RWO Clips. For a Europe, you will need to take out up to 50cm of shock cord - adjust to taste.

JC straps enable you to hold the boom out in light winds, despite heeling the boat to windward. These clips enable you to release tension in strong winds.
