I sail a Hartley 12.2, mainly single handed, so the Telescopic Boom helps a lot whether I'm forward or aft. This may be a comment on my (lack of) sailing style, but I was finding the fixed length Tiller Extension was getting caught in my armpit when tacking/gybing. Now I can make it shorter it's better. I did manage to bend the extension part the first time I used it but I was fairly new to sailing and was wrestling the boat in a way that I don't now.

Bought it to replace one that would no longer lock. The new one is identical to the old one which is what I expected except that even in the shortest mode it is 40mm longer. The length is fairly critical and I'm not sure it will fit onto the tiller until I go to the boat and check it out. I can't understand why it is longer. The old one may be 20 years old so they must have changed it at some stage.
