Grip on-slip textured heat shrink (0.5m long). Used to add extra grip to the Rooster range of carbon tiller extensions, and also prevents carbon 'rash' marks on your FRP hull and gunwales - Fits the 19, 22 and 25mm diameter carbon tube when heat applied.

NOTE: The product is just the heat shrink tubing and does not include the Rooster End Stopper, Tiller, UJ or the Solo dinghy in photo 4...!.

Application:

Cut the 0.5m supplied length, to the length you require with a sharp pair of scissors, then remove the small screw holding the UJ to the Rooster Carbon tiller and slide the heat shrink onto the tube at the desired place. Using a hot air gun (such as used for paint stripping) applying heat to give an even grip surface and appearance, until fully sealed to the tiller tube. You will need to rotate the tiller to evenly apply the heat and make it shrink.  Avoid the Rooster rubber end stopper of your tiller as this may get damaged with the heat if applied too close and for too long. The non slip heat shrinkable tubing is manufactured from a special irradiation cross-linked polymer alloy, followed by a special surface treatment. It provides a durable decorative diamond surface finish with increased friction and anti-slip properties.
