Topper Worlds Harken Kicker (easy release Fairlead)
Harken Kicker fiddle block System - Harken have a reputation in the sailing industry of producing some of the very best blocks and cleats, in the form of both quality and performance.
3:1 Kicker, uses all ball bearing blocks and super hard wearing polyloc rope with both a 'T' handle and a PVC handle for maximum ease of use. (see related 6:1 upgrade kit option)
This kit is a clip and go system, we have rigged the kit for you ready to use.
We have chosen the blocks and parts that we use in our highest spec Kicker system very carefully. We always use the correct block in the correct application based on value and performance benefits.
* Bottom fiddle block - Harken block with the Harken cleat, angle adjustment and very easy to release the kicker when under tension.
* Top becket loop top block - We have tested the Ronstan Series 30 block and it offers significant weight saving with its built in swivel linked head. Its super smooth centre hole is both large enough and smooth enough to eliminate any rope wear.
* Large carbine hook, strong enough to take the loads used in the kicker, and takes the fiddle block sufficiently away from the mast to allow the downhaul to work around it with ease.
* We shackle to the boom and carbine hook to the mast to allow the kicker to stay permanently attached to the boom and released from the mast for ease of mast rotation when packing the boat up or reefing on the water if needs be.
